Property Map of Upper
Darby, 1856
|
| If you look to the right, just
as Cobbs Creek turns (where the
CCCEEC is located), you will note that the Sellers owned all the property right down to (and presumably, including) the creek. Creeks were the byways of the Underground Railroad, because dogs could not track the smell of a person across them. The next map shows how Sellers Hall and Cobbs Creek fit into the 'big picture of the Underground Railroad on the East Coast. |
