The Underground Railroad in the US: An Overview

UGR overview
Source: 1850 narrative of Levi Coffin, a  Quaker and key leader of the Underground Railroad. Coffin's home in Newport, Indiana was known as the
"Grand Central Station" of the Underground Railroad during the period leading up to 1865. He, his family, and other abolitionists secretly helped thousands
